KUALA LUMPUR: MN Holdings Bhd has secured a RM26.9mil underground utilities contract for a project in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah.

In a statement, it said its wholly-owned subsidiary Mutu Nusantara Sdn Bhd accepted the letter of award from Pembinaan Tajri Sdn Bhd, appointing it to be the subcontractor for the project.

Pembinaan Tajri is one of the main contractors appointed by Nur Energy Services Sdn Bhd to undertake the project.

Nur Energy is a unit of Nur Power Sdn Bhd, the exclusive power utility firm for Kulim Hi-Tech Park.

Under the contract, Mutu Nusantara will provide horizontal directional drilling construction works for the installation of 132kV power cables and fiber optic cables to connect a multinational corporation’s high-end integrated circuit substrates manufacturing facility to a new gas insulated substation.

The project is expected to be completed in August 2023.

According to MN Holdings executive director Datuk Clement Toh, the contract is expected to contribute to the company's earnings for the financial year ending June 30, 2023, and 2024.

“Going forward, we will continue to actively participate in the tenders, while leveraging on our strong track record over the past 15 years to strengthen our presence in the power infrastructure utilities industry,” he said.

With this latest win, MNHB’s outstanding order book rose to RM218.9mil.
